GasNZ Forum 2021 - First Announcement & Sponsorship Opportunities

Following on from the unfortunate need to cancel last years’ forum due to impacts of Covid-19, we are pleased to announce that we are back on track for the 2021 GasNZ Forum which will be held Wednesday 27th – Thursday 28th October, again at the Wairakei Resort in Taupō. 

The working theme for this year’s Forum is “Our Low Carbon Pathway”, which is an opportunity to continue the conversation around next steps towards implementing a net zero carbon goal.

The overall shape of the Forum programme differs to that of previous years.  Specifically, and importantly, the Forum will run over 2 days, as opposed to the 3 days previously, with no Thursday afternoon networking events being scheduled.  The Forum will begin with lunch on Wednesday, followed by a plenary session of papers and presentations and culminating with the Forum dinner.  Thursday morning will see a mix of break-out and plenary sessions, leading up to a closing lunch. 

The Trade Display room will be a feature, providing an opportunity to showcase your organisation and products to fellow Forum delegates. 

Exact programme details will be announced once they are finalised by the Forum Committee. 

Those planning to attend this year’s event should consider booking accommodation early by phoning the Wairakei Resort on 0800 737 678 and advising planned Forum attendance.  This will provide a 15% discount off the standard room rates listed on the resort website.  These rates are available for rooms booked prior to 26 October 2021, with a 30-day cancellation policy applying.  An online booking form is being developed which will have a link from this page once available.

The Forum provides a unique opportunity to engage with decision makers in the Natural Gas and LPG Industries’, particularly in light of the Climate Change Commission’s advice to Government.
