Kennedy Educational Scholarship Trust
The Kennedy Educational Scholarship Trust was endowed as a lasting memorial to the Kennedy family who were pioneer engineers and managers in the Gas Industry.
Its purpose is to provide grants for study, research and experience to advance knowledge and skills in a manner that benefits both the recipients and the wider gas industry.
Scholarship funds may be provided to assist those undertaking research or degree-level study in any of the following areas:
- People currently employed in the gas industry in technical, engineering or market development roles (this could include appliances, gas applications, efficiency, construction, operations, safety and maintenance of gas systems);
- Post-graduate students in gas industry-related engineering or market development
In granting a scholarship, preference will be given to employees of organisations who are full members of the Gas Association of New Zealand.
Each year a maximum of $30,000 will be available for distribution, with a $10,000 maximum for any individual recipient in a given year.
